SEO Requirements Specification Template

Description
🧠 Context
In a context of international multisite SEO governance, it is essential to provide development teams with a clear, standardized, and actionable framework for implementing SEO requirements.
🚧 Challenge
SEO requirements are often vaguely or partially expressed, spread across multiple documents (specs, docs, test sheets…), making them hard to interpret and leading to incomplete, inconsistent, or untestable implementations. The lack of a unified framework also prevented effective compliance measurement and prioritization.
💡 Solution Delivered
To address this, I designed a standardized SEO specification template combining functional, operational, and educational aspects in a single document:
- Creation of a reusable template to document SEO requirements
- Definition of a clear taxonomy of requirements (e.g., lifecycle, structured data, title/meta tags…)
- Integration of visual scoring indicators (badges) for each requirement:
- by criticality (Must Have, Critical…)
- and implementation status (Operational, Partially Operational…)
- For each requirement: concrete use cases, testing methods, expected results, and explanatory comments
This document model was immediately applied to redirection rules as a pilot for all future SEO specifications across the group.
